Beta: Monday 18 August, 2025 Full Client Release: Mon 25 & Tue 26 August, 2025
๐ Whatโs new in Release v217?
Weโve launched fresh updates to make your website easier, smarter, and more accessible.
โก๏ธImproved carousel navigation for your visitors
What changed?
- When using the legacy slide/carousel navigation, arrow buttons no longer overlap with text on cards.
- When using the new slide/carousel navigation, navigation buttons now show visitors how many items are in each carousel.
- Also, the new slide/carousel navigation has clearer options positioned where visitors can easily see and use it.
ย
How do I use it?
- Activate the new navigation in Control panel > Legacy features by setting the Legacy slider/carousel navigation to โNoโ.
ย
๐New redirects for your URL prefixes
ย
What changed?
- In Release 215, we added tools to manage all your URL Prefixes (you can now change /agenda to /events or /courses to /workshops). Every time a URL Prefix is changed, a redirect is needed to make sure old URLs are properly redirected to your new URLs.
- With the new โURL prefixโ option in your Redirects Module, you can set up redirects for every URL Prefix you changed.
ย
How do I use it?
- After youโve changed a URL Prefix like /agenda to /events, go to the Redirects Module, and set Source to โagendaโ and Target to โeventsโ. Now any old URLs with /agenda will be redirected to /events.
Pro Tip!
Add /* to the end of your source prefix (like agenda/*) to redirect all related pages that sit under that prefix. This means yoursite.com/agenda/name-of-performance also redirects properly.

๐ฅ๏ธAccessibility improvements: Improved heading structure & optimised hidden filters for screen readers
ย
What changed?
- Headings for cards (such as stories, suggestions etc) have changed from H2 to H3.
- This improves heading structure, making navigation easier for visitors using screen readers whilst improving SEO.
- Dropdown menus and filters stay hidden for screenreaders until visitors choose to open them.
- Better support for visitors who browse your website using only their keyboard.
ย
How do I use it?
- These improvements have already been implemented for you.
ย
๐Genres and status added to datalayer for better audience insights
ย
What changed?
- Genres and status added for each event to the datalayer for smarter analytics.
- Use this to see patterns like "comedy shows get more clicks" or "dance events hold visitor attention longer".
ย
How do I use it?
- In your Datalayer, find the new genres and status labels for each item.
ย
Thank you to our analytics partner OneFurther for the suggestion!
ย
๐บClearer event information on your venue screens

- Text-focused layout prioritises essential timing information that visitors can grasp at a glance.

- Especially useful for venues with multiple events or tight scheduling.
